Professional gunsmith vise with ball joint, designed for mounting long and short weapons during maintenance, modification, repair, and inspection. Due to the fact that the structure is based on a ball joint, it is possible to rotate and change the angle of the vise to be able to correct the position on an ongoing basis, as needed. This makes the detailed work much more convenient and does not lead to unnatural bending.
Regulation on many levels enables the station to be adapted to the needs
The construction of the vise is solid, multipurpose, and precisely made. A handwheel screw machined with high precision makes the clamping of the jaws very light, smooth, and even. On the side is the Accu-Level™ leveling knob. It has an adjustment of 6 degrees and is used for leveling the weapon and scopes. The vise base is attached to the tabletop with three 1/4 "-20 x x2-1/4" screws, 50 mm long. The set includes bolts with nuts and washers.
The ball joint is locked with a Speed-Cam™ lever, and a Torq-Lok™ pin is used for high torque applications. Thanks to this double security system, it is possible to unlock quickly and easily for lighter work and to secure surely during operations that require more pressure.
Nylon Gun-Fit ™ sleeves are designed to be mounted on the jaw plates. They are used to protect the weapon against scratching by steel surfaces. They are double-sided, with one of them milled for a more secure grip, and the other lined with flexible material to protect the wooden cladding. After placing on the jaws, the tabs are locked with four pins. They are also used to lock the dedicated handle to the AR-15, Real Avid Lug-Lok™ breech chamber (sold separately).
